Minnesota ended their four game losing streak last week with a solid win over the Detroit Lions. The big thing for the Vikings in that game was that they played well defensively. Minnesota´s big problem during their losing streak was poor play defensively. Not only did Minnesota hold Detroit to 14 points but the defense scored 14 points for the Vikings. If Minnesota is going to go anywhere their defense has to play that way. Everyone knows Culpepper, Moss and Bennett but it´s the Vikings defense that has to show up and I think they will carry last week´s play into this game. St. Louis has had problems with turnovers as of late and Minnesota has become very adept at forcing turnovers. I also think Moss and company will get up for this game and put on a good performance.
St. Louis has won three games in a row but that´s three wins they should not have had. The Rams have had endless turnovers during this three game stretch and some are mumbling Kurt Warner´s name down in St. Louis. People have forgotten just how much Warner was turning the ball over before his exit but nonetheless this team´s luck is about to run out. Two of St. Louis´ last three wins came against the Bears and the Cardinals, two of the NFL´s worst teams this season. Against a winning team like Minnesota, St. Louis´ turnover parade is going to cost them. The Rams have allowed greater than 20 points in three straight and despite that they are close to a touchdown favorite. Minnesota should be insulted.
